Art Venue

Soho Studios offers artists, curators and museums the ideal location to stage a temporary gallery or show, with extraordinarily high ceilings of nearly 20 feet, flexible floor plans and beautiful original building details.

Two of the world’s largest contemporary art fairs, PULSE Miami and SCOPE Miami, have used all 70,000 sq. ft. of the building to exhibit works from around the world during famed ART BASEL week each December. The exhibits pull in tens of thousands of dealers, collectors and visitors, becoming the city’s most popular destination during ART BASEL.

During ART BASEL week 2010, Soho Studios proudly hosted “Our World. Your Move.” presented by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), VII Photo Agency, and the Museum of Washington, DC.

Photographed by world renowned war photographers Ron Haviv, James Nachtwey, Antonin Kratochvil, Franco Pagetti and Christopher Morris, the exhibit offers a unique and first-hand look at what war and armed violence do to people’s lives. From the heartbreaking loneliness of an elderly woman made homeless by the 2008 conflict between Georgia and Russia to the unbridled joy of two brothers reunited after being separated by fighting in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the exhibit highlights 40 unforgettable images of war-torn Afghanistan, Colombia, Haiti, the Philippines, Democratic Republic of Congo, Georgia, Lebanon and Liberia. This exhibit runs until January 15, 2011.

A portion of proceeds from exhibits held at Soho Studios at The Wynwood Convention Center, including SAPAL, are designated for not-for-profits.
